Our Vision

At Precious Treasures, our vision is primarily focused on children around the world. This also involves providing support to organisations whose primary mission is to care for homeless and displaced children, especially in the developing nations.

We provide financial and material needs, keep children out of the streets into safer, warmer environments and working with other persons, bodies, organisations and/or countries in the facilitation process.

We go further by engaging in alliances with other resident charities in advancing the education and training of these children through the provision of support as deemed adequate and necessary to this course, thereby paving the way for a new and vibrant generation of leaders to shape the future of their countries.

We supply facilities that support the physical and spiritual growth, enhancing a well-focussed social reformation of the children, thereby occupying them with other recreational activities, developing life-skills that would assist and positively impact on their growth and development into better adulthood.

1. Our Name

Oxford Dictionary describes the word 'Precious' as a thing that is 'of great value; not to be wasted or treated carelessly'. We strongly believe that the children we work with are indeed precious to God Almighty, their creator and they have a purpose for being here on earth. We aim as a charity to bring out the 'Treasure' in them and provide a wing for them to soar.

2. Our Approach

PreciousTreasures adopt creative measures in its dealings with its alliances to support local communities at grassroot levels.

Partnership

We provide our services through various charities whose mission is in line with our objectives, which is to provide support and alleviate child poverty in the developing nations. Such organizations work in alliance with us on a common agreement enumerating the scope of work and terms of reference to be covered in the field. Such alliances are given prominence in our operations, so also are they required to present feedback to members and trustees of Precious Treasures in fund raising and similar events where Precious Treasures is on display.

Working in partnership enables us to access the most effective service, and help local community organizations to benefit from our first class alliance partners, who are able to adopt a more innovative approach in the way they deliver the services.

We ensure that funds supplied by our supporters deliver value for money. To ensure transparency to our funders, we provide full financial and operational accountability.

To ensure accountability, Precious Treasures monitors with our partners on an ongoing basis. We agree measurable targets and engage in the analysis of outcomes from all our partners.

We obtain feedback from each partner on programmes, projects or initiatives in terms of the impact on improving the lives of children.

Grassroot Organisations

Precious Treasures Foundation takes pride in working with grassroots organisations to provide outstanding, ground-breaking and cost-effective work targeted at offering care, health and education to vulnerable children around the world.

Making a difference to children's life through our grass root working is an example of Precious Treasure's working with these organisations within the local community, not only to rescue the kids from the cold hands of poverty, but to also challenge them as they grow up, for them to be a positive agent of change in their environment.

International Organisations

In addition to partnering with grassroots organisations to cater for the children, we also work in alliance with international organisation, whether they are established organisation in the local community or aspiring organisation. Our basis of working is usually well spelt out in our term of reference, to ensure that we keep to our vision and approach the work in the most cost effective manner.

Other NGOs

We also work in partnership with other non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to provide care and support to children where need arises.
